What are the different sizes of snow blowers?

14" - 20" Snow Blowers – smaller snow blowers.

21" - 34" Snow Blowers – medium sized snow blowers.

What features are available when ordering a snow blower?

Electric Start –  to larger sized portable snow blowers can be pretty heavy.

Low Oil Shutoff –  In the event that your engine ends up running low on oil, this feature will stop the engine.  As with any gasoline engine, running without oil is very damaging to engines.

Manual Chute Deflector  –  Smaller snow blowers utilize a manual chute deflector.  The manual chute deflector requires the user to be beside the snow blower in order to adjust the orientation of the snow chute.

Remote Chute Deflector  –  Remote chute deflectors allow the snow blower user to redirect the flow of the snow by adjusting a lever from the behind the snow blower.  This can be adjusted quickly while the user is clearing snow from a driveway.

Hand Warmers  –  Some snow blowers offer hand warmers as option on high end snow blowers.

Self Propulsion  –  Snow Blowing becomes a lot less work when the snow blower doesn't need to be pushed.  Self propelled snow blowers are often available with multiple forward and reverse speeds.

Headlights  –  Lights on Snow Blowers are an effective way to safely increase visibility when clearing snow from a sidewalk when it is dark outside.

Hour Meter –  Snow Blowers sometimes have hour meters available as an option.  Hour meters are very valuable in that they give a definitive answer as to how long a snow blower has been used.  As many routine maintenance task intervals are specified in number of running hours, it is crucial to know how long a snow blower has been running between services.

What accessories are available for Snow Blowers?

Trickle Chargers – Snow Blowers with electric start options often sit for months without being used.  In order to ensure that a snow blower starts after long periods of inactivity, it is recommended to use a trickle charger to keep the battery charged.

Snow Blower Covers – Vinyl covers are a good way to protect your investment to make sure that it stays in good condition.  Be sure not to place the cover on your snow blower until the engine has cooled.
